BE 2020 Carnivale Update

March 13, 2020
Hello,

This week, the Book Euphoria team has been working with Embassy Suites to try and come to an agreement regarding the event. With much debate, we are informing you that we will be canceling the event next week.

We are so sorry for any inconvenience this has called. Anyone who knows us know that we love planning events and bringing readers and authors together, so we are very saddened and disappointed. However, canceling the event is a precautionary action and we do think that this is the best decision.

With new developments and restrictions regarding COVID-19 arising daily, we didn’t want anyone to compromise their health in the wake of a possible government shutdown.

WHAT’S NEXT?
On March 26th, 2020, the Carnivale Chronicles anthology will still release and we are so excited to bring you this series! Some authors are offering signed copies of their books and we encourage you to visit their social media pages for specific details on that.

Within the next week, make sure you check out our Book Euphoria page for any details regarding an online Facebook party! Hint: This will be the time to wear and post your costumes that you won’t get a chance to wear next weekend.
We are sure that some of you may have questions and if so, please don’t hesitate to contact us at bookeuphoria15@gmail.com. We want to thank you all for registering to attend our event and we will also be posting about the cancelation on our main Facebook page soon.

March 11, 2020
Hello,

We’ve received a few inquiries asking if BE’s 2020 Carnivale is still scheduled for March 19-22, 2020 and the answer is YES, we are still planning on having the event. We understand that health is the number one priority and a lot of us have been keeping abreast of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) news. Below are a few additional details pertaining to your travel into Illinois as well as an updated list on the featured authors who will be attending.

Hotel

We have spoken with Embassy Suites in Rosemont, IL and they are taking every precaution possible at their location. They also informed us that they are being diligent in wiping down tables, chairs, and cleaning rooms. They are also taking extra sanitizing measures.

O’Hare International Airport

For those traveling into Chicago, O’Hare is one of 11 U.S. airports screening flyers who’ve been in China for the virus that causes pneumonia. At a separate area in O’Hare’s Terminal 5, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention public health officers check passengers for symptoms of coronavirus such as fever and coughing.

Travel Tips:

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water
are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
